Ingredient spotlight

Cinnamomum verum, true cinnamon

Grown in Sri Lanka's coastal groves, Ceylon cinnamon is the original — a soft, citrus-sweet bark so thin it rolls into layered quills. It has been part of daily food traditions for thousands of years.

  • Single-origin bark from Sri Lanka, milled and encapsulated without fillers
  • Naturally low in coumarin compared with common cassia cinnamon
  • Supports daily metabolic wellness as part of a balanced routine†
  • Provides plant compounds with antioxidant properties†

FAQ

Good questions, honest answers

What makes Ceylon cinnamon different from grocery-store cinnamon?

Most cinnamon sold in the US is cassia, a related bark with a harsher flavor and naturally higher coumarin content. Ceylon cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum), grown mainly in Sri Lanka, is known as “true cinnamon” — thin, layered bark that rolls into delicate quills and is naturally low in coumarin. Vitvero uses only Ceylon cinnamon.
