FAQ
Good questions, honest answers
What makes Ceylon cinnamon different from grocery-store cinnamon?
Most cinnamon sold in the US is cassia, a related bark with a harsher flavor and naturally higher coumarin content. Ceylon cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum), grown mainly in Sri Lanka, is known as “true cinnamon” — thin, layered bark that rolls into delicate quills and is naturally low in coumarin. Vitvero uses only Ceylon cinnamon.
